router installation

I have an engineer coming to my house tomorrow on 29/7 to install telephone and wifi. i have missed the first delivery and it says i will get a delivery today 28/7 for smart hub 2. the first delivery cant be delivered until 30/7 do the engineers need both deliverys to set up ? not sure whether to rearrange my appointment or not ?

Is it for FTTP, G.Fast, VDSL or ADSL?

If it’s ADSL or VDSL then the Engineer doesn’t set them up anyway.

If it’s FTTP then they plug the Router in to the ONT to ensure there’s a PPPoE Connection but if yours isn’t there most carry a spare Hub for testing purposes to prove it works and then just advise you to plug yours in when it arrives.

Not to sure about G.Fast, don’t know much about it.
