tv box to the router

Hi ,

I have my box connected via the bt socket adapters and it works fine. I am trying to change it to a standard Ethernet cable but when I do I get no broadband connection.

Can anyone help?

Assume you have the ethernet cable plugged into yellow socket on router and ethernet socket on rear of vision box?
