BT Home page and Amazon web site problem

I cannot connect to the BT Home page or Amazon UK from the IP address supplied by my Home Hub.

I can however connect to both when connecting via a VPN.

Trying to connect to BT Home page via my HH displays the following message

"The connection to signin1.bt.com was interrupted while the page was loading.

The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because the authenticity of the received data could not be verified.
Please contact the website owners to inform them of this problem."

Problems seems to have started on my return from holiday.
