BT Smarthub 2 - issues connecting devices

Just updated to a smart hub 2 and having many issues connecting smart devices such as Sonos speakers, Google Nest Doorbell etc.

I have tried on iOS and on an Android phone, I have also disabled 5g, rebooted the Smarthub several times and made sure the firmware is uptodate.

Nothing works.

Do we just buy our own modern/router of is there a fix?

Re: BT Smarthub 2 - issues connecting devices

First of all factory reset all your devices to ensure any previous configuration is removed.

When you set them up, you need to ensure all your devices are on the same band as the app on your phone  will be connecting directly to the devices initially rather than via the hub. The simplest way to ensure this is to turn off the 5Ghz band as both bands have the same SSID you can't guarantee which band your devices are connecting to.

Once everything is set up and connecting via the hub, you can restore the 5Ghz band.

Not sure if you read the actual post but we have already tried disabling 5g. We have also factory reset the devices where possible.

Not sure if you read my reply regarding a full factory reset of your devices before attempting to connect

Hi @cecepih706   I don’t know why, but fixing the channels (11 & 48) has helped me in the past with Teckin smart plugs. Obviously turning off the 5 GHz band until they connect.

Hi @cecepih706   I should have said, reboot the hub after fixing the channels.
