We're using the Digital Voice Adaptor with mixed results.
Is it getting its signal by WiFi from our main router?
Therefore a clear path to the main router is important? i.e. no thick walls etc.
Any way of extending its range? Maybe by upgrading the router (Smart Hub 2) or an external aerial? It doesn't appear to have any aerial at all like previous models.
Thanks in advance...

as has been posted numerous times the connection to adapter is by DECT not wifi and you must use the SH2 when you have DV. you can get a 3rd party router but the SH2 must be first connected to internet and the 3rd party router

Thank you for the answer.
However, I need to extend the useful range to use a phone some distance from the router.
Can something like a LiGo repeater (4022) be used to feed a Digital Voice Adaptor and extend the range for a corded phone? Or is the LiGo only able to link to the router?
Unfortunately you can't extend the range, the DECT signal appears to be proprietary and normal DECT extenders anecdotally don't work with the adapters.
Thanks for that reply.
So whereas before, a BT phone extension could be of "unlimited" practical distance from the the main BT analog input to a property, if we want to extend the range with DV, we are limited to the finite range of a 4022 (for example) repeater? They can't be daisy-changed, I understand.
you could utilise your existing phone wiring with a bit of effort so sockets work as before as described here
Alternatively, plug in a normal cordless base station into the adapter and effectively double the range of the signal to a cordless handset.
Or, as I'm just trying out:
BT Main router to Panasonic cordless (A-machine) + Adaptor - 10m
LiGo Repeater to Panasonic cordless (A-machine) - 10m
Another Panasonic cordless to LiGo Repeater - 10m
Minimum effective distance from main BT router to the final Panasonic cordless - 30m? (through thick walls, multiple rooms)
Fingers-crossed no power cut....otherwise ******?
