BT wifi extender flex 600 data light off

I use a BT wifi extender flex 600 to strengthen my internet connection and connect to my Ethernet cables, as my ps5 is in my bedroom upstairs, while the router is downstairs on the opposite side of the house. It’s been fine since I got it around a year ago, but about 3 weeks ago it disconnected from my ps5 and nothing has worked since. The data light on the extender that’s plugged in to the router has gone out, and whenever I try to connect to my ps5 via the extender or its Ethernet, I get an error saying that the IP address couldn’t be found. I also haven’t managed to connect to the WiFi extender on any other devices, including my phone and laptop.

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

You could try a factory reset but it sounds as though it has gone to the great electrical gadget graveyard.

Yeah that sounds about right, I’ve tried factory resetting it many times and it hasn’t worked. Any idea how I could get a new one? I’ve searched all over the internet and it seems like BT aren’t selling this particular Wifi extender anymore, which is a shame because it was really good before it died. I can only find second hand listings and other models, but not this specific one.

Wifi extenders are very inefficient. Have a look at various powerline adapter solutions
