DTR-T2110 Playback Fails

I bought 2 x DTR-T2110 years ago as refurbed set top boxes

1 for the Living Room & 1 for the Bedroom

REALLY GOOD way to record stuff off the telly.
BOTH worked perfectly until the most recent software update.

Trying to playback recordings from SkyMix or E4Extra, If I fastforeward thru the ads, It causes a catastrophic failure. Have to reboot the machine

Contacted Humax, they gave me some instructions and said if that doesn't work, contact BT

Bit embarrassing cos I've never been a BT customer

Most channels seem to function fine if you fast-foreward thru the ads.
Apart from SKYMix and E4Extra Which seem to be CATASROPHIC failures When I tried  them, Had to reboot the machine.
About to test the recording of "Pottery Throwdown" from HGTV, see if THAT works and I can fastforeward thru the ads on HGTV without it causing catastrophic failure
