Disposal of Old Routers ?

Now that I am 'converted' to Digital Voice, and have a new Smart Hub2 installed, is there ant further practical use for my old  redundant Home Hub 5, or can it just be disposed of (in accordance with local council disposal regulations) ?

If you have had it prior to 13th Dec 2019 it is yours to do what you want with it.

If you had issued to you after that date you will need to return it to BT or you will be charged for it.

I haven't a clue as to how long I have had it, so I  returned it, . . . . . just in case.
