Home Hub Disk - Can't pair, solid red light

Go to solution

I bought an unused disk and followed the connection procedure, as I've done in previous house many times, but on this occasion all's well till I disconnect the Rj45 and then I get solid red, it's not paired. I've got a HomeHub 2. I've tried every sort of reset and combination of resets on disk and router, nada.

I've read that I need to change the router channel from the default 1 but to what I don't know.

Help ! ?

There is no need to change channel. Is it a white disc or a black disc?

Absolutely, the white discs don't form a mesh with the router and the first of a number of white discs need to be connected to a router via Ethernet.

The white and black discs are totally different systems.

Ah I see ! So I either need another white disk to mesh with the current one, or get a black one ?

Yes, if you stick with white discs the first one needs to be connected by ethernet though. Black complete WiFi discs will form a mesh with the hub
