No link to base. Please check base.

This is an old topic.  I got the message on mg BT7610 - Oct 2025.

Comments seemed helpful and I bought a replacement base unit off eBay for £7 + £3 postage.

It turned out that my base unit was not the problem.  Fortunately the sellers had incuded a (tested) transformer/power unit, because that turned out to be my problem.

Replacing the transformer solved the problem.

Hi @Keith2.

Thanks for coming to the community and for letting us know this worked for you.
It’s really helpful to hear how you solved the issue.

Thanks for sharing this! I was getting the same “No link to base” message and thought the base was faulty too. I’ll check the power/transformer first before replacing the base.
