I'm extremely concerned that when I access my BT Smart Hub Manager in my browser with 192.168.1.254 it takes me straight to all the settings and is not first prompting me to enter my admin password !
I am able to go to the setting where you change the password, but I don't want to change it !
Solved! Go to Solution.
It only takes you to the first page which is view only. If you want to change any settings or go into the advance settings etc you will have to enter a password.
I think the philosophy behind the UI is to present the router as an "internet device" or control panel rather than a conventional menu list design - the latter being dated if you compare it to common modern web page design. Having the password needed when you only want to change a setting makes it easier to view the status of the router.
Personally I'm agnostic on the menu design - I've seen worse, but it could be better!
