Pair request on my Panasonic Smart TV by a "BT Emitter179" device.

Go to solution

I keep getting a pair request on my Panasonic Smart TV by a "BT Emitter179" device.
I do not own one. I don't even know what this device is. I keep cancelling the prompt but the request keeps
popping up more regularly as time goes on. This has started happening since I swapped out my
ASUS Router for the BT Smart Hub 2.
Can anyone tell me what this is and how to stop it happening?

Thanks

Nothing to do with BT.

Its a Bluetooth device.

Turn Bluetooth off on the TV.

Ok.

Just a coincidence I guess.

Install a BT Hub and start getting prompts from a BT-xxxxxxx device that I never heard of.

Thanks

BT in this case stands for bluetooth, and as the smarthubs dont have bluetooth, it cannot transmit a pair request, it is a coincidence, perhaps neighbours have a new gadget
