The WiFi password is mandated to be 16 characters in length. 

@licquorice - are you sure about that? The EE equivalent will grumble but doesn't outright prevent you from using a shorter password. You just need to accept the warning and continue.

... plus like SH2 the 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz can not be split.

@gg30340 - you can enable the Compatible WiFi SSID which lights up a separate 2.4GHz only (by default) WiFi network; it's on the same VLAN so can still communicate with devices on the main SSID and works as a substitute for band splitting in a lot of scenarios.

The 5ghz chanel is fixed by Smart Wifi...

Which makes sense when you consider it's using DFS channels that you have little control over. The ability to fix channels on the SH2 was a tad moot anyway IMO as regardless of what channel you selected, the hub would use the exact same slice of 80MHz bandwidth anyway 🤷

I tried password with less than 16 and got warning that was less secure but never progressed it.  The guest password is the same but I tried using 10 character and got warning but continued and hub accepted the shorter password so possibly the main WiFi password will give warning but accept less than 16 characters

I am not going back to try as I would need to change all my WiFi devices

It's an academic argument anyway.

The industry recommended minimum after the WPA2 KRACK attack was 20 characters.  Even 16 is poor by today's standards.   And let's face it, if anything, the hacking/malware environment out there has got markedly worse in recent years.

@bobpullen  I can't say for sure if I tried with a shorter password or not. I'll try it when I get a chance.
