Transfering voicemail greeting to new phone

Hi,

Recently we replaced our phones (BT 4600 big button) due to our old ones breaking but there is a voicemail greeting on the original phone which we would like to (if possible) move over to the new phone. Unfortunatlely the message cannot be re-recorded as the person who originally recorded it sadly passed away, which is why we'd like to keep the voice.

Is this something which is possible to do? We are not sure if the greeting is saved on the handset base or the handset itself or somewhere in the voicemail settings. If someone could help with this I'd appreciate it as I cannot seem to find any details regarding this.

If you can play the message through the speaker on the old phone, you may be able to record it on the new phone by putting it near the microphone.

Hi, thanks for the reply. Actually, I considered that, but wasn't sure it would be the best recording. I guess it's isn't really possible to actually transfer a voicemail greeting after all then.
