From what a guide said to me few weeks ago the EE smart hub plus which is the one with wifi 6 can't be added to a bt account so the only way they can send one out is to regrade onto EE and even then it still wont send it on the lower packages. Honestly with the wifi 7 router seemingly not too far off, for a lot of people i'd guess they'd just skip wifi 6 all together.

Ive 6 months left on bt broadband. I have an offer of another 24 month contract at BT, £3 less than what i currently pay, which would be gobbled up come April 25 with their notorious in contract increases for no good reason that i can see.
i wont be taking advantage of the offer.
Every bill go’s up every year mate.
Be very wary of making any adjustment to your contract.
I phoned to cancel TNT Sports earlier this week and I got switched to EE without my knowledge or agreement by the "guide" and charged £3 more for it. To my mind the "guide" should have been dismissed for that underhand action but it seems likely that they are incentivised to do it and they'll do it what ever way possible.
For many years now, I've not bothered with a contract. It makes no difference to the cost, despite the lure of 'special deals'. You can leave whenever you like, and leave it up to 'them' if and when you get sent a new router or whatever.
No contract=no need to be wary about moving.
I’m the same out of contract just see how it pans out I guess I’m interested in the 1.6gb but by all accounts it’s very troublesome
it does not...lol
