As the title says, now BT are not longer merging with EE, we should have got updated hubs by now in-line with everyone else, where are the consumer Wifi6/7 BT hubs? The smart hub 2 has identical specs to the smart hub 1 which came out in 2016, it just has a VoIP port added.
A fun topic to think about but not one I suspect we will get an answer for here as this is a customer forum. Keep your eyes peeled for any emails from BT or for any ad campaign. Although from what I have read the new CEO is keeping BT a separate brand for those who want it they are likely to still want to incentive people to switch and the WIFI 6 and 7 hubs may be a way they do that?
Yeah how hard would it be to relabel the EE 6/7 router to BT?. Unless the marketing strategy is to have EE as the premium product.
There is a version of the BT SH2 in nothing more than a different plastic offered to EE xDSL customers. I found it interesting that a little while back BT started sending out SH1 routers again to people on xDSL packages, where it seems there will be some delay in getting digital voice.
