Wi-Fi is slow early in day but then speeds up after a while

Hi

I have a 4 disc (white mini discs) setup that works fine in general. However I'm finding that initially most mornings the Wi-Fi is very slow.  I've used the BT broadband checker  and that shows full speed (60+Mb) to the router and then very slow to my device (less than 1Mb).

This has been happening for a while

The Wi-Fi on the router was disabled but I have re-enabled it now for test purposes. If I connect to that Wi-Fi I get virtually full internet speed while the mesh network is still slow.

From the mini disc app 3 of my discs are shown as excellent connection (the other - the furthest away is shown as good but I don't want to move it).

After  a short period of time the Wi-Fi speed returns to more like my internet speed and generally stays that way until the next morning.

I have in the past reset and re-setup the discs but this problem still occurs.

It seems as though the mini disc Wi-Fi  Wi-Fi is going to sleep overnight but I can't find any setting that would do that.

Any assistance in how to resolve this or to find out why it's happening would be great.

Re: Wi-Fi is slow early in day but then speeds up after a while

@Sandhills2

It may be best to ask the BT product support helpdesk for that product.

I assume its the BT Whole Home product?

It would be best to give the WHW product helpdesk a call on 0808 100 6116 ( Mon to Fri 9am to 5.30pm and Sat 9am to 2pm) or drop them an email to: btconnectedhome@bt.com and they'll be happy to help.

I will move this thread to the BT Devices board, as this is supposed to be monitored by the product support group.

Re: Wi-Fi is slow early in day but then speeds up after a while

Thanks for the advice.

I did call the product support line. However the person I spoke to although willing to help couldn't offer a solution other than doing a reset and going through the setup again.
I will do that but don't expect the problem to disappear. He suggested sending a diagnostic log so that can be examined for any hint of what the problem is.
