Hi, I'm hoping this is the right place to post.
I have 2 cyberpower battery backup batteries, but don't have the correct cable that goes from the cyber power battery to the smart hub 2, after multiple searches I cannot find where I can purchase these. Any help would be great as BT themselves said they don't have these.
I’m not sure if it helps you any, but the plug at the Smart Hub 2 end is 3.0mm (x 5.5mm). That’s an unusual size for the UK. It’s more US, I think.
The last time I saw that size on sale was CPC Farnell. Sorry, can’t give you a link, as commercial links are against forum rules, but try their website and do a search for 3.0mm dc power plug.
I think that side of the lead would probably be easiest to figure out, it's the end that attaches to the battery backup that would be harder to source. Thank you for your help though, if I figure out the other end then at least I know which I need to look for to fit the hub 2.
I'm not familiar with the Cyberpower unit myself. What type of plug is it? Is it another dc power plug? A quick Google suggests it is another 3.0mm dc power plug. (But since when can you believe everything an AI on Google tells you?)
If it is another of the same type, the common sizes in the UK are 2.1mm and 2.5mm. You can tell which by using a metric drill bit as a gauge. If a 2.5 doesn't fit it must be a 2.1 etc.
I already have power plugs for the battery units themselves, the ones to charge them if that's what you mean?
In the instructions it says remove the standard power cable that has a plug at the other end, and replace it with a cable that goes from the battery backup to the smart hub 2.
I will try the measurement suggestion, it's for my mother's house for her panic alarm, so will check it out whenever I'm there next, thank you.
