I recently bought a laptop and have synced it with my desktop computer. All is well apart from my BT emails. It just won't connect to them on the laptop but keeps asking for a verification code which I can get on m,y husband's emails. Any suggestions?

Hi @MB52
Welcome to the community.
That sounds frustrating when everything else has synced across nicely.
Can you check to see if can can access your email by logging in through the BT website to start with.
If you can log in and see your emails there, the problem is likely to be with the email app setup on the laptop rather than your login details.
When you say you are being asked for a verification code, is that being sent to your husband's email? If it is, what happens when you try to enter it on the laptop?
Michael
The 2FA codes will be sent until your new laptop becomes a trusted device. They are sent to your husband as the account holder
I called BT and they state that the 2FA is now mandatory and will continue. Apparently EVERYBODY (except me) has a mobile phone and it is therefore no bother - according to the nice wee wifie on the helpline. I have now rerouted my BT emails to Outlook and can pick them up there on my laptop. They are now synced with the desktop so all OK.
