Old BT Email app usage

Many customers are still using version 24 of the BT email app.

V24 on iOS has now been blocked; the Android version will be blocked on 8th December.

From 25 September, we’ll be reaching out to these customers to let them know they have 30 days to upgrade to our latest App.

Checking what version of the App you have

  1. You can check the version by holding down on the app from your home page
  2. Tap on ‘app info’
  3. If it’s the latest version, it will show ‘25.2.3 IOS Mobile’ or ‘25.2.3 Android’

You can update to the latest version via the App Store/Google Play Store.

What this means

  • You’ll still be able to access your BT Email using webmail, using an email client or by installing the Mail App on an alternative compatible device (Android version 11 or later, or iOS 16 or later)
  • If you don’t upgrade before we stop supporting the old version, you’ll be unable to log in to your account
