2FA issue

Having a problem whereby I don't receive the text notifications to my mobile to login so I've had to use my landline number. No idea why it's not working to my mobile as every other text message comes through fine.

Re: 2FA issue

Hi @kinetic747

Thanks for coming to our community.

Are these OTP texts from other companies or from BT to log into your email account?

Have these worked before but suddenly stopped?

Re: 2FA issue

I had a problem receiving 2FA notifications from banks a few weeks ago with my Samsung phone.

The solution was to change the Network Operators setting from Automatic to the network used.

You may also need to make Call Settings notifications silent, so you don't get a ding every time you lose the connection.

Account Issues

I spent 3 and a half hours on chat today trying to get access to my account as I was having issues with 2 step authentication. I was given a new BT id and everything seemed to be working. I then accessed my products as I was thinking of upgrading, and since then I can't access my account again. Strangely when I did access it my current package showed the wrong monthly amount and I queried this whilst I was on chat. I actually ended up leaving the chat in frustration (I was passed over to billing) as it was almost 7pm having been on there since 3-15, and they were asking the same question as I'd answered several times previously. I've just tried again and it says account details unavailable even though I can actually log in. I'll try again tomorrow.

Re: 2FA issue

Sorry for the extremely late reply, it's OTP from BT themselves. I think it might be a Lebara issue, in the meantime I've put my wife's number for the messages and everything is ok.
