Hi All,
I'm getting Fibre 900 installed next week and I'm wondering what's the best kit to use network wise, to get the full advantage of the speed? I already have the BT WiFi 6 discs, but a lot of my stuff (TV etc) use Homeplugs and Switches.
Thanks in advance.
Most home do not need anything like 900mbps.
If everything is working just fine at the moment, ie TVs don't stutter and lag and like wise if you have games consoles etc, the set up you have will be sufficient to be left alone.
I don't think there is a "best kit" for BT's 900Mbps service.
The bundled in hub you get should be fine , but depending on your individual situation you may want something else.
I have some Unifi kit in my home.
My fibre connection comes in to under my stairs where the ONT is located. From there I have a cat6 cable going to my office wall hung network cabinet.
In my cabinet I have a 24port patch panel, a Unifi UDM Pro SE , and a 24port Unifi switch.
I have 3x Unifi wireless access points located throughout my home and about 18x cat6 cables from various locations wired back to the patch panel.
