Re: Advice about boxes on wall when full fibre installed

I live in the countryside and most properties around here are near enough to a phone pole to have the last section down the copper wire. However, we were too far away so the cable is taken underground to this"cabinet" in our garden. From there to the house is not across soft ground.

This thread is about an FTTP install, there is no " last section down the copper wire" with FTTP.

I know this discussion is about full fibre and that is what is being installed to my property.

Is the cabinet you are referring to, something personal just for your property or does it service the community as a whole?

It's just for this property.

To answer your original questions, nothing further will be done until you place an order. Once an order has been placed, Openreach will do whatever is necessary to provide service. The location of internal and external boxes can be negotiated within reason. The internal box doesn't have to be the other side of the wall to the external box.
