Hi folks,
We currently have copper running from the nearest exchange cab to our property providing a lousy 0.8Mb/s while my neighbour who's connected to a different exchange has fibre to the premises. The telegraph pole on which he takes his fibre is 200 meters from our premises in a neighbouring field while the telegraph pole where I get my copper cable from is 500 meters away. I registered an interest a few years ago and I havn't heard anything for over a year now. Does anyone have any suggestions on whether I can get cable laid pref with a grant and how do I get Openreach to connect it up? Many thanks in advance.

Thanks for the speedy response IMJOLLY,

PS neighbour is on Newnham Bridge exchange
from the results you are getting the best available although not good. openreach will not re-route your phone connection just to improve your broadband connection speed.
you can try contacting openreach https://www.openreach.com/broadband-network/fibre-availability
Appreciate you coming back ImJolly, that is really bad news as this is my most expensive contract and by far the slowest but I need the backup. The interesting fact is that I can get a business grant to implement such a solution however apart from this forum, I can't see anyway to contact BT or OpenReach to discuss a one off cost for implementing said solution
Perhaps contacting BT Business would help.
