I’ve had BT Fibre 900 for several years. Speeds are great around 1Gb but it’s getting pricey.
I was looking at options including EE but the majority of web sites including BT says the max download is 330.
The Openreach fibre checker says I can get up to 1.6Gb but BT wholesale checker says it 330.
Does any one know the difference between the two checkers and why BT Wholesale might now say 330. It definitely used to report 1Gb. If it’s wrong can it be corrected?
thx in advance.
Are you sure you're not looking at "Fibre on Demand"? That's a business product where you have to pay significantly toward the installation cost.
Edit: Just checked mine. Still says up to 1000
Thx @WSH I already have BT Fibre900. The checkers are showing different results and I don’t think I’m looking at FoD. Neither mention FoD. The BT wholesale reports
Featured Products Downstream Line Rate(Mbps) Upstream Line Rate (Mbps) Downstream Range (Mbps) Availability Date FTTP Install ProcessWBC FTTP
Up to 330 | Up to 50 |
Fair enough. It's just that the figure of 330 was what they used to quote for the upstream FoD here.
@WSH even so I really appreciate you taking the time to reply.
