BT at its finest

Looking after our finances I looked at down grading from Halo3 to Fibre 2. Checking whilst logged in BT offered £25.99 down by half from halo price per month of £56.99

i went on chat and talked to agent, advising my request, ir no phone line package, no mobile offers etc.

The result was that I would have to pay an exit fee of £42 (appx). But the offer (fibre2) was not available to existing members. I had logged in for offers and 8t shows the @£25.99 price (my address was even shown in the offer) the agent even came back with the same package I had at present  and then the same price for the Fibre 2 package

Needless to say there was no point in proceeding until I find a new package suitable for my needs but the agent comes back with do you want an EE sim deal, and the. Do I want to buy a phone or tablet….. I asked him was he trying to wind me up or what.

so the search is on and when I can leave BT without any hits I will move,  I would have been happy to pay the exit fee and move to Fibre 2 but not as they tried to get me to do

yep, Bt at its best in bamboozling customers

Re: BT at its finest

Just checked on some offers and one is offering unit next day deliver and coving up to £200 exit fees. Need to read their reviews first

“I had logged in for offers and it shows the @£25.99 price (my address was even shown in the offer)”

Screenshot of the offer, forward it to complaints and enquire why it is not being honoured.  Worked for me.
