BT to Ee then back to BT what the……

I am currently at my wits end with this….

at the beginning of June I wanted to amend my Broadband and home phone contract so rang the BT contact number. I was told that as the update would see me switched onto the EE service I would be transferred over to their ‘guide’. Everything sorted, contract changed, renewal agreed, EE hub sent. BT hub to be returned for recycling, done….Or so I thought. I got bills from EE and from BT. Also was unable to view my contract on the EE app. After many, many, calls, being cut off etc, etc. The decision is made at the BT/EE end to cancel and re-submit the order. Today after about 45 minutes on the phone I’m told I back on BT Fibre to home!! Also. I’ll be sent a new BT hub to replace the EE Ultra hub!,! What! I run 36 wifi devices and the last thing I want is to go through all that again. I will be on Full fibre 900 Halo 3+ which is what I was on before this circus began!!! Having changed from Smart hub 2 to EE ultrahub, do I really have to change back to Smarthub 2 again?
I’m now going outside to headbut the garage wall!!

The EE hub and the BT hub will both work although I am not sure about EE working with the Hybrid Connect or Disks. Some others may be able to answer that.

To save you changing all your devices just change the SSiD (name) and password to be the same as the hub that you are replacing. Your devices will then just auto connect as normal.

Thanks gg…

D’oh. I should have realised I could have done that the first time around! I don’t use the discs or have need of hybrid connect so I may see if I can leave the EE hub in place. It seems to give better wifi coverage than my original Smarthub 2. However. I suppose that might change if I’m requested to return the EE hub for ‘recycling’. With the threat of a charge if I didn’t!
