Months ago, we had full fibre broadband installed. They had to take up some of the driveway to do it but it seemed to work well and the speeds are good. Picture below. Recently my neighbours had the same done and their BT engineer took one look at ours and said it wasn’t very good!
Picture of theirs above!
How would you recommend getting BT to come back and rectify what they’ve not properly finished? Any advice would help. Thank you!
That is poor , but why didn’t you complain at the time ?
At a minimum you would expect the CSP ( the grey box ) to be directly above where the duct appears , that looks as if the CSP was fitted first , then they couldn’t get the duct ( for whatever reason ) to align with the CSP ( one good reason to fit the CSP after the duct ) plus , although it would look daft at an angle there is ‘capping’ missing , covering the cable between the duct and the CSP .
For clarity, are BT your broadband provider ?, many post here thinking it’s BT ‘s problem even when they don’t actually use BT but someone else , BT didn’t actually fit anything, it was Openreach or a contractor working for OR , but organising OR to come back is via your ISP
I didn’t realise it was so bad until they pointed out what it should look like. I was more focussed on the practical side
I am a BT broadband customer still and it was an Open Reach contractor who carried out the work
Although there is an Openreach form ( via a chat bot virtual assistant )

it may not be the most appropriate way to get a revisit , the BT Moderator may offer to assist , otherwise it’s contacting BT customer services and asking for a revisit due to the initial poor quality installation
