Broadband fade

I have noticed a disturbing trend with my broadband. I gets slower over time. I follow the instructions in the trouble shooter and get great speeds as GARUNTEED by BT. Then i check a few hours later and my BT 900 package is returning speeds of 170Mbps. This is way below what I am paying for and since BT only seem to care about the speed after reboot it makes me wonder if they are secretly throttling all customers. Before anyone suggests its thermal throttling in the hub itself it isn't, I have checked. Its also not additional traffic. BT seem to have no mechanism apart from reboot. Current speed 220Mbps on a BT FullFiber 900.

Re: Broadband fade

the speed guaranteed by BT is the speed to your router not speed to your devices.  are you using ethernet connections or wifi as wifi connections are subject to conditions in your home.  you should ger full speed using an ethernet connection provided your network card is capable of high speeds
