Broadband keeps dropping out and slow connection but hub remains blue

I am on BT Halo package and supposedly getting 150 mbps, everything has been fine for 9 years and all of a sudden for the last few months our broadband keeps dropping out all the time, the connection goes really slow web pages whirring, netflix starts buffering, sky will say no signal etc its basically unusable ...  then all of a sudden it will come back on for 20 mins and you think everything is fixed  then it all starts to happen again.... im working from home and its just unworkable at the moment as my webpages are crashing and kicking me out all the time

Some days the wifi won't connect at all but the Hub remains blue,

We have tried everything........resetting the hub usually about 10 times a day, changing channels, Tried a  New Hub , BT Have been countless times and blame it on Openreach saying there's no fault with the equipment, Openreach  have been countless times and say fibre to the house is fine and say it must be a problem with the equipment / something in our house.

Has anyone had this problem and how did they fix it??... i will try anything.

I can't move to Virgin as they aren't on our street, I don't really want to move providers but i will if i have to

We have been sent 4 mini hubs which are all useless and don't work either, you connect to them and it says no internet

Please help!!!

Re: Broadband keeps dropping out and slow connection but hub remains blue

Good morning @Chewitson1.

Welcome to the Community!

I can appreciate this must be so frustrating, especially if you're working from home.

If you've had four separate hubs and the same issue occurs then it seems unlikely that this would be the root cause, but we can check out a few other details here.

Are you always using WiFi for your connected devices, or do you have any devices connected by ethernet?

Also is your connection Full Fibre,  which is connected to an Openreach Modem on your wall, or is it connected to one of the older wall sockets alongside your phone?
