Broadband not stable

Go to solution

Our broadband was steady and stable but now we're getting the buffering symbol on our tv when streaming, our computers and our mobile phones.

We're in a village where our broadband is partly fibre and then copper to the house so we're just on

Fibre 2

High-speed fibre broadband

But tbh it's always been suitable for our needs until now. I don't understand why we're getting a different experience all of a sudden even though our demand on it hasn't. The problem is that we work from home and our son is doing online studies so we need a stable connection to the internet especially during the day.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated 🙂

do you have a home phone which is not digital voice?  if so then try dialling 17070 option 2 line should be silent and any noise is a problem and needs reporting to 151 as a phone fault  fix phone fix broadband

can you enter your phone number is not digital voice alternatively use your address and post results including notes please

have you tried a simple restart of the hub?

Re: Broadband not stable

Hi imjolly

Just to let you know that I rebooted the hub, as you suggested, as this was the easiest to do in the first instance. And for now it's much more stable.

I didn't think to try this as we've experienced a few power cuts of late and assumed the hub would have just restarted anyway.

Thank you for your advice
