Hi
I’m currently on Vodafone super fast broadband which uses a BT line. I’m trying to switch over to BT. The open reach engineer was out the other day and says they need to dig up the road as I don’t have an outdoor connection. My outdoor connection is actually in my electric cupboard with wires running underground. Why can they just use my line already, when I’m a new build house? It’s going to take weeks to do as well as they need to get permission to close the roads etc. I’m not going to be getting any better speeds either. Am I probably better just staying where I am rather than trying to change providers?
can you enter your address and post results as this will show what is available to you

do you something like this in your home
@Ramsay01 what does it say for your address? https://www.broadbandchecker.btwholesale.com/#/ADSL/AddressHome
@imjolly snap 😄
That’s what he installed the other day in my hall. In
my electric cupboard I have a blank box covering which when the engineer previously put on when I had BT before at the property as I had my main connection run upstairs instead of down ( as I’m an upper 4 in a block)
Do you have a picture of the blank box?
Also please can you include the text below that table.

Looking for the parts stating of an ONT already exists and is active.
can you post the notes which were below the available connections
are there any lights lit on the openreach ONT?
that pic is just a phone socket and not suitable for FTTP broadband
