Buffering

I have a lot of buffering over the last 5/6 days plus if I go on Facebook the comments do not show or take an age to load. Should i contact BT or will it hopefully go away?

Thanks

Re: Buffering

@mollysox  It's probably something to do with what's going on in the link that follows, in which case, BT are working on it:

Re: Buffering

Hi @mollysox

Thanks for coming back to the community.

Is this happening with all websites and apps?

Have you tried restarting the router?

Re: Buffering

Hi. thought it had improved a bit but trying to watch a live stream event this morning and had to give up. Shame as a sports event that my son was competing in.

Re: Buffering

Thanks for the update, @mollysox

There are quite a few variables that could be at play here - for example the speeds estimated as part of your plan, whether you're connecting via WiFi or ethernet, the device itself, and faults with the broadband connection overall.

If you haven't already, it's definitely worth using our automated fault checker.

This will run through some troubleshooting steps to try at your end, and if it needs further investigation from there we can help arrange a call back from our team, or engineer appointment too.

Re: Buffering

Long chat with a BT rep testing speeds etc and all seem to be in order which is not really helpful re the problem.
