Hi again

On a couple of posts I have seen mention of an internal CSP. I don't  really want cable running down the outside of the house.

Will Openreach fit the CSP internally if I request it?

Re: CSP

T have the Internal CSP which is very neat and tidy. However the Optical Fibre Cable still has to be routed into your property where it then connects to the CSP.

Thanks a lot for your reply
The internal bit should be straightforward as there is conduit and trunking
Roughly how long ago did you have yours fitted? Just worried there may have been a policy change.

Re: CSP

It was fitted 18 months ago. I opted for broadband only no phone service. Due to mainly using mobile phone. the engineer just asked where  I wanted the ONT and Internal CSP Fitted and that was that.

I suspect it will be luck of the draw in respect of who gets allocated the job (Openreach or contractor), & whether they have an internal CSP in the van.

Yeah I guess so. It will be in a cupboard so an external unit would be fine too but that will probably break anothe reg.🤣

Thanks for your reply

Re: CSP

As said, it really depends on who you get round and if they have one on their van stock.

Openreach Policy does state CSP’s should be fitted externally unless it’s a Listed Building.

Obviously some Engineers will fit one if asked and if they have them.
