Can't get a BT broadband connection following house name change

I bought a house in the countryside and changed the house name officially in March, a lot of address lists are now up to date with our new name. We do not have a street name or number. I applied for BT full fibre internet online and the order was cancelled and I had to do a second order exactly the same but £3 more expensive. This order got cancelled becasue BT and Openreach do not agree on the name, I did a 3rd order and it was cancelled and I pleaded with the guy to sort this out for me and he said he only had 2 options - to cancel or do another (4th) order. I told him I was isolated with no phone, internet or broadband and a pensioner and surely someone should be able to help me, he disappeared to find a team leader and during the call I was cut off. He never tried ringing me back even though I explained I was sat in a car as no reception at house. Following every order I get a message to contact the Connections Team who seem to be mythical. How do I overcome this, I am at my wits end and quite unable to have further long calls with BT about this.

Has your address been updated on the royal mail database?  If so when you try to place a new order then ask them to send an ORDI to openreach to update their database for your change of address

Re: Can't get a BT broadband connection following house name change

I have explained time and time again that it has been accepted by Royal Mail, Openreach have the right address and BT doesn't.
The issue is the order is automatically cancelled by the time I receive the message and phone the number. The operator says they can no longer proceed with the order.

Surely BT have the correct address as you are using that address to place your order but openreach probably still have the previous address hence why your order fails and why you need BT to send ORDI to openreach to get their records updated

Re: Can't get a BT broadband connection following house name change

Have you tried this one, to see if the same address comes up?

https://www.openreach.com/fibre-checker

If the address is different then it might be worth creating a new account with BT, with that address, and make the order through that.

Re: Can't get a BT broadband connection following house name change

If you are confident the Royal Mail have the correct address , and Openreach have the correct address and it’s simply some BT error that is accepting your order then subsequently cancelling it , why not use a different provider , it’s not as if it’s BT is the only choice on Openreach network , that way you completely eliminate BT from the equation, if your order goes through to completion you get what you want , if that order is also cancelled then your assumption that it’s BT causing the issue is clearly wrong.

How did  you conclude that full fibre is available at your address ?
