Can't register my interest in FTTP

Go to solution

When in myBT offers, I am told that Full Fibre is not available in my area at present.  However I am updated to register my interest to be kept updated.

Each time I do this, I get a dialogue telling me 'I am unable to do this at the moment and to try again later'.  But this is always the case whenever I try.

Is this broken or what?  If I can't register an interest, then how will BT know demand?

You can register an interest directly on Openreach's website.  They'll then email you when it goes ready for service and that will be about a week before BT will update their website anyway.  (And, to be fair to BT, a long time before most other ISPs pick it up).

(Edit: Oh, and any "demand" is nothing to do with BT anyway.  It is Openreach, a separate company, who decide what is getting built where and when).
