Can't see broadband upgrade without choosing TV package

Go to solution

I've recently had Fibre 500 put in and I'm very happy with it. Out of curiosity I check the "offers" from time to time, and wanted to see what Fibre 900 would cost.

However, on a number of occasions now, on three different devices, if I go to look at offers, I get to the "Choose a TV package" page but the "Checkout without TV" underneath "Happy with just broadband?" is always dimmed out and non-selectable.

This has to be a glitch surely — I don't have a current TV package and don't want one. This isn't urgent as Fibre 500 is fully adequate for my needs. Does seem a bit odd though. Sure, I could call them but I'm only curious on pricing and don't want to get involved in a sales pitch.

For the record I've tried on iPhone, iPad, Mac Safari and Mac Chrome with the same results.

Hi @andymerrett2.

Thanks for coming to the community.

You should be able to view broadband only offers without being asked to choose a TV package.
It’s worth trying again in a private/incognito window or after clearing your cookies, as cached data can sometimes cause similar issues.

If you’re still having issues after trying that, please give our customer support team a call. They’ll be able to look into the issue and talk you through the options available.

Thanks for the reply.

It's done it over several months each time I've looked. As it is, I'm happy with my Fibre 500 and don't need the 900. It was just strange. I'll give the incognito thing a go.

I decided to see what would happen if I chose a TV package, and after trying to upsell a few more things, it goes straight to checkout. No mention of broadband upgrades at all. I know that Fibre 900 is available in my area. Perhaps I'm too new into current contract? Still seems odd though.
