Damage to BT Openreach FTTP External CSP Cover

Hi All.

Over time, the cover for the BT Openreach FTTP CSP on the external wall of my house has been damaged and needs replacing.  How would I go about getting this replaced?  I would be happy to pay is I don't think this would fall under wear and tear.

I have had a look on the BT website but it isn't clear how I would go about arranging this.  It looks like someone else posted a similar query on this in July 2023 and somebody in the forum called RobbieMac seems to have stepped in to sort it, however, as far as I can tell, RobbieMac hasn't logged in since September 2024 and has retired.

Any guidance/suggestions would be gratefully received!

I’d hazard a guess you have one of the older BFT CSP’s. They came in Grey, Black and White.

I remember a while back now there were a faulty batch that didn’t have the chemical in it that protected it against UV Rays so over time they naturally broke down and deteriorated.

You need to report it to your CP, who would report it to Openreach who would send someone out to replace it with one of their new ones.
