I have an FTTP upgrade booked for the week after next (finally moving from ADSL - woop!) The only "kit" BT have sent so far is the 4G "hybrid connect device", the digital voice device and a bag to return a Smart Hub 1 that I no longer have. There's no mention of a Smart Hub 2 set for dispatch on the order tracking. Does the engineer bring it on the day?

the openreach engineer will not bring the SH2 that should be sent by BT and probably just before installation date. try phoning FTTP TEAM 08005874787 and see if they can help
If you are getting digital voice then you will need to connect SH2 to the ONT
That's what I thought. I just found it strange that it's the only thing not mentioned on the tracking page. Perhaps they wait for the survey before sending out the expensive stuff. The external work has been done now so I'll give it a few days before calling for clarification. 17Mbps - 900Mbps here I come!

You should recieve the hub a couple of days before internal instal. Why you think it's expensive kit is beyond me though.
It's just the normal "cheap as chips one size fits all" ISP kit.
I'm aware the SH2 is nothing fancy love. I'm just speculating that BT probably wait to send the item they sell for £200 until they know the installation is proceeding. x
