FTTC speed dropped by 20-25 mb in the last week

Good morning

I just returned from holiday to find that my broadband is running slower than usual.

Normally, I get download speeds of 75-70 and upload speeds of 18-20. However, now I'm only getting around 50 for download and 18 for upload.

Hi imjolly
I'm glad to see you're still around, helping the community. You helped me out a couple of years ago.

Yes, it was on while I was away. I performed a manual reset when I noticed the drop in speed.

hope we can help again

by manual reset do you mean just switch off and then on?  i would check the logs and see if the connection has been dropping when you have been away as that would account for speed drop

Re: FTTC speed dropped by 20-25 mb in the last week

Yeah mate done a reset via the hub login.

Checked this morning to see if the box was alright and had no issues. Tried to check the line via the master socket so that knocked the net off also.

Will have a good look through the logs.

Cheers
