Good evening everyone, because I moved to another property, I had to say goodbye to my faithful 150 Mbps FTTP connection. But to be honest, I wouldn't need anything above 80Mbps, because my usage is quite moderate, but I do work from home so latency is a bit important (I don't game).
I'm using third-party gear, a Netgear DM200 VDSL Modem (working purely as bridge and running OpenWRT), as for the main gear I'm rocking UDM Pro as the router that handles all the PPP. So far so good.
As I'm aware VDSL tends to take 10+ days to find the optimum line speed, because I'm on fibre 2 package (Up to 75 down and 20 up), I'm currently synced at 55 Mbps down and 9 Mbps up.
The Netgear modem says that the max data rate my line can do is 70 Mbps down and 18 Up (I'm more interested in the upload, to be honest). I'm leaving the modem plugged in so the DSLAM won't raise a fault if I turn the modem up.
So my question is: Will the sync speed increase after 10 days to let's say roughly 60/65 down and 15 up?
Here are my line states.
Thanks again 🙂
