FTTP hub not delivered by Evri

Go to solution

My hub was supposed to have been delivered by Evri on Thursday July 16th, but the most recent update states that they couldn't deliver and would try again next working day - This would have been Friday 18th

It's now lunchtime on Monday 20th and still no sign of the hub nor any updates

To make matters worse, the engineer is scheduled for Tuesday 21st 8am-1pm

I've had a message from BT asking to confirm the engineer by 4pm or reschedule.
What would you do? - Wait and see or Reschedule the engineer?

I appreciate that Evri are a cheap courier, but this doesn't bode well for customer/BT relations

are you a new BT customer or existing switch to FTTP? if existing do you have a SH2 capable to a WAN connection which will work with FTTP.  if new customer or don't have SH2 then phone CS 03301234150 and they will help you

"New customer" switching from FTTC to FTTP

In all honesty the account is actually in my mothers name - She's 78 and has Dementia.
I've tried to register as an "Account Manager" but I'm plagued by a 'Technical issue, please re-try in 15mins' which has lasted for several weeks now. So i fear speaking to customer services may be a little difficult

so have you tried logging into the account using web browser and also tried the MYBT app?

All sorted!

Spoke to someone called Sam(?) in CS.
Between us we identified the issue with making myself an account manager - The email address i was trying to use was already tied to my EE phone contract and the systems were conflicting.

Used a different e-mail address and everything married up perfectly first time.

A new router is being sent to me, on the agreement that should the 1st one arrive it will be returned to BT.

As for the engineer visit tomorrow, that is going ahead as planned, as by some miracle I stumbled across an EE router with a WAN port on the back which will handle a FTTP connection with ease, albeit temporarily until the proper router arrives - or - i obtain an aftermarket router by Netgear or someone else

if Evri were supposed to deliver it I’d imagine it’s in one of 3 places.

1. The bin of someone who lives 500m down the road.

2. EBay

3. On sale at a car boot this weekend.
