My neighbour (5 doors down) has had FTTP for nearly 18 months
I watched as the Openreach engineer pulled the fibre through the underground ducts to the pole that is literally outside my house. I watched as they installed a splitter on that pole, then watched as they pulled fibre from there to the next pole, that server my neighbour, I then watched as they installed overhead fibre from that pole to his house
When I use the online checker, it tells me that fibre is not available in my area. Unless I select 'his' house number instead of my own, and then I get an option of 900Mb fibre
So, my question is, is fibre available to my property? I don't really speak to my neighbour, but when I asked him how he managed to get a dedicated FTTP installation from BT, he simply replied - "I just asked them and they did it" <shrug>
When I 'ask them' it isn't available, I can't have it and there's no plans to install it in my area any time soon
Is there a way to persuade someone, anyone, that it is available and I can literally see it on the pole outside my house?
EDIT: My exchange is showing as FTTP unavailable, not in a current fibre priority programme
But it does show that FTTP On Demand is available. But if BT wont accept that I can have FTTP, how do I get it!!!!
Have you checked what it says on BT's checker, here?:

If you post a screenshot, (removing any personal data, like the location at the top), I'm sure someone will tell you if there is anything amiss in it.
Make sure you include any survey note about FTTP availability at the bottom.
OK. Just so you know, it may be a while before you get a reply, as pictures go into quarantine until a moderator releases them. Only yourself, the community leaders and the mods can see it in the meantime.
Edit: And having just read your edit, FTTP on Demand is a business product where you have to pay significantly toward the install cost. Possible thousands of pounds. It's not a home broadband thing, so you can ignore that.
try completing the openreach form and ensure you stress in comments that your neighbour has a fibre connection and as much detail as you have. you may have to submit form more than once

Anything out of the ordinary about your address , a flat or apartment , a house name rather than house number , a prefix or suffix before or after the house number or anything like that , or is it conventional, and exactly the same format as the neighbour that can get FTTP , with the obvious exception of the house number ?
Addressing issues can cause omissions from the availability check , but some are not omissions but by design, if for example you were part of a MDU (multiple dwelling unit ) on the same road as SDU’s , MDU can be a totally different rollout out programme….or it could simply be the network boundary is such that your neighbour is contained within the PON , and although you are close by , your address is outside the PON boundary.

Fill in this formwize , specifically the section along the lines of my neighbour can get FTTP but I can’t
I can see the image now.
It says FTTP is not available. (As I said, "FTTP on Demand" is something different). I'm not really an expert in this area, there are other on here that are, but it could be something as simple as there being no capacity left on the CBT. Then again, it could also just be a database error. Try this and see what it says:

Edit: Posting at the same time as iniltous and imjolly. I'd listen to what iniltous has to say. He's far more of an expert in this area than I.
Addresses are formatted exactly the same. Both are identical construction, single dwelling (not MDU) semi-detached houses
If I use the checker, I get this for my neighbour at No7, with FTTP and my house at No12, where its unavailable
As I said, the pole is literally at the end of my driveway and I watched the Openreach guys pulling the fibre through, from the box at the end of my road (my house is actually the closest to that box than any other on our road), past my house, to reach his, all the way to his house front wall. This was 18 months ago, but still no sign of it here, despite the fibre splitter being at the end of my driveway!
The old street cabinets are redundant for FTTP.
If the box at the end of street is the old street cabinet then it is not used for FTTP, so there is something strange going on.
While waiting for the images to be visible, what about the addresses between you at No.12 and the neighbour with FTTP at No.7 ( that’s assuming the odd and even numbers are all on the same side of the road ) do they all show availability and it’s just your address that doesn’t , or are all or some of No.8 to No.11 showing no FTTP available.
If it’s just your address and especially if your adjoining neighbour (I’m guessing No.11 ) shows FTTP available it’s probably an address data problem and the formwize hopefully will get that corrected , if it’s more nuanced, and (for example) 7 and 8 show available, 9 and 10 show available, but you and No.11 don’t , ( that’s without knowing that’s these semis are arranged ) , it could be the boundary happens to be between No10 and No.11 , although that would be unusual, unless a natural boundary exists between 9-10 and 11-12 , like a green (play) area or something like that , which could be the reason for separated PON areas and unfortunately yiu are the wrong side of the boundary….
