Re: Fibre 2 and free upgrade

Care to indicate if your F2 price is similar to the new customer price , or more , or less (and if it’s a significant difference ) new customer price is £27.99 a month for F2  , ( and for comparison £28.99 a month for FF100 )

Where does the £69 come from (dud they say how they arrived at thus figure) as if that’s an extra £69 per month on top of whatever you pay for F2 , that makes the total price ridiculous irrespective of what you actually pay for F2 , but if that’s the extra to pay over 24 months then it is less than £3 a month ,

£69 seems a weird amount .

Re: Fibre 2 and free upgrade

Seems to make no sense , currently with FF100 the price goes up to £40.99 in month 25 ( if taking a 24 month deal today at £28.99 ) so no idea where they get £69 from ….you could try firing off an email to executive level complaints see what they can do

Re: Fibre 2 and free upgrade

@iniltous  Thanks for that.  I've already sent a complaint to the regular team this afternoon.  (I think the £69 may stem from me being a recent customer but they are definitely trying it on).

@chrisjp  No offense taken.  A lot of people out there don't know the difference.  I can assure you, I do.

Re: Fibre 2 and free upgrade

Interestingly, the offer of FF150 at £69 has been replaced this morning with an offer at £29.99

Re: Fibre 2 and free upgrade

Was the offer of £69 from an actual customer ‘guide’ or something in the ‘offers’ section of your ‘My BT ‘ online account or something similarly automatically generated ? , if £69 was replaced with £29.99 (that’s £1 more than a brand new customer offer BTW ) suggests it’s not something that was offered during a conversation with BT ….
FWIW , the online offers sometimes seem to be ridiculously out of step with reality , in that no one in their right mind would think , ‘that’s a great deal ‘ presumably generated by a not particularly useful algorithm .

Yes, generated online.  At least this offer is in the land of sensible.

Re: Fibre 2 and free upgrade

TBH , I’ve periodically looked at my supposed personalised offers in ‘My BT’ and so far they are not tempting at all , generally I don’t give  any credence to the online offers ( unless they are to my advantage ) , suspecting they are generated as stated not by a human considering the customer’s situation and trying to keep their business, but a apparently seemingly poor algorithm that generates nonsense …..my renewal is due soon , if the auto generated offer is uncompetitive, I’ll call and see what’s actually available…..it does seem a lottery though , some posters on here have said they are leaving even after negotiations as the retention offers were poor , others have had offers equal to what’s offered to new customers and have renewed.

Re: Fibre 2 and free upgrade

And what has that got to do with anything?

If the OP only wants fibre 2,  he gets fibre 2, doesn't matter how it is delivered.
