Fibre fault - Connecting 3rd party mobile router to WAN port on Smarthub2

Hi

Hyperthetical question, if i had a fibre fault could i connect a 3rd party mobile router (4g sim) to the WAN port of the smarthub and the Smarthub to use the mobile routers 4g connection?  I want the Smarthub2 to still provide the same range of ips to my network etc.

For reasons i shall not go into, unplugging the SH2 and using the mobile router instead doesnt fit my requirements.

No, that won't work because the SH2 WAN port can't be configured and will expect to make a PPPoE connection with fixed credentials rather than get an IP address from another router.

However, Halo3+ from BT will provide a Hybrid Connect device which will perform the task if your fibre fails.
