Fibre installation

Go to solution

Open reach damaged our wall when the installation happened on 28th November . He took responsibility for it took photos and took our phone number and told us it would be repaired. As at today's date we have heard nothing and I do not know who to contact

Thanks they say we have to pay and get it done and then they will see if they will pay. Not what we were told

If it was while doing the installation for BT you should contact and complain to BT as at the time of the damage Openreach were working as contractors on behalf of BT.

Re: Fibre installation

Was it an Openreach Engineer or one of their Contractors?

Openreach Engineers would normally fill in a Damage Claim using an App on their phone, which then gets picked up by a Claims Team.

Contractors will usually sort out their own Damage Claims and not get Openreach involved.

Re: Damage to wall

But BT didn't do the installation, Openreach did. Therefore any damage caused is down to Openreach to rectify.
