Fibre not available, but available to all my neighbours

Hi,

I bought and moved into a flat in November 2024 and have since been using BT copper broadband which is rubbish. My block of flats has 3 people in (one above, one below) and none of them have access to fibre (based on the Fibre Checker). However, every other flat on the same postcode and joined onto my flat (18 of them) have access to Full Fibre with speeds up to 1600mbps.  I have made several enquires to Openreach but they have said they I am not in plan and they will not give timescales or anything. As it is a flat, I have gotten the property management company to fill out the MDU form months ago and still nothing. I work from home a bit and the wifi is so slow its actually unbearable, let alone trying to download anything.

Below is a screenshot of the data provided from the BT Wholesale Checker - Does anyone know how to de-code this or tell me what I can do?

Many thanks,

As it clearly states, FTTP is not available.

Yes, I know. I asked if anyone could help with a solution to this, or could shed some light on why it is not available.

No, you asked for the screenshot to be decoded.

This is a BT forum and has no connection with Openreach.

Re: Fibre not available, but available to all my neighbours

You could  show the checker results for a very near neighbour ( no further away than a few meters , no point showing an address 20+ metres away ) that can order FTTP and detail exactly how it relates to your flat , like next it’s door , a semi detached house and separated from my flat by 5m of soft surface (lawn) that type of thing , or preferably a diagram or even a street view image , having said that , PON boundaries have to exist somewhere, so  your block of three flats and neighbours that can order FTTP being very close , isn’t unusual, or it could be as simple as the addresses that can order FTTP are ducted , or fed by poles , but your block of flats is armoured cable and was removed from the rollout for that reason .

As stated , this is no more a BT issue than a Sky or Talk Talk issue , Openreach decide what and when to build , no provider influences that decision and similarly no CP can ask OR to provide in areas not showing availability.

https://www.openreach.com/forms/fibre-broadband-availability---customer-form

You can ask OR via this formwize why neighbours can get FTTP and you can’t , often though the answer is pretty generic  they can also provide useful info , and even rarer , occasionally they will arrange to built out the FTTP area to incorporate the addresses being enquired about that are not currently in scope ,
