@TheScoobster No, not old and cynical at all. I'd call it "experience."
Have you people learned nothing from the “free upgrade” to Halo?
I had a free upgrade to Halo once, that ended up costing me an arm and leg and was damned difficult to get rid of. Beware of Greek bearing gifts. They will charge you the real price at some point, and by then they will probably have closed down 150Mb/s, because “no one uses it”.
Do you need the extra speed? I doubt you’ll see any operational improvement in performance. The days of faster is automatically better are at an end.
In the past 18 months I’ve gone from 58Mb/s to 68 to 74 then 150Mb/s. Not really seen any change in performance, which to be fair, was good to begin with.
We now have access to Your Fibre as an option and some neighbours have gone over as they were close to end of term BT contracts and your Fibre paid the difference to get them on board. Thats 500MB for £27 for 2 years with a £ April increase.
The new customer scenarios are annoying.
Thanks for the heads up.
Thanks.
Looking at the responses others have had the same email.
Its likely the 150mbs is being cut off as an option at some point, so thats their thinking to hook us in for the future.
I thought the changeover would be a case of the exchange servers just doing an overnight but its always good to get some feedback.
Thanks again.

I have 23 months of my contract left if they ditch 150 Mbps do yon think i will i get a free upgrade to 300 Mbps or will i stay on 150 Mbps until my contract finishes?
"...150MB will disappear at some point."
Only if there is "no demand" for it. Anyway, I've said my piece.
In time 150Mb may disappear, but at the moment it’s probably a very popular , and arguably the majority of cases , an ideal speed to take , fast enough for most households , and given often it’s ‘sold’ at the same price as 80Mb , it’s the 80Mb profile that’s likely to disappear….in 5 years maybe 150Mb may be insufficient should some sort of killer application come along , but there no sign of one coming along anytime soon.

I have 300 Mbps at the moment as its a free month trial i don't really need it so i will drop back to 150 Mbps when it ends and save a couple of £ per month.
I checked my account and there is no way to move to 300 Mbps so it looks like you can only move to 500Mbps.
Is this because i am already on the 300 Mbps trial?
