Full Fibre... will it support 5 discs?

Go to solution

Hi,

I have just had Full Fibre 900 with BT Halo 3 installed. It's currently running four discs.

My house is very long. The router is at one end, and there is no wifi coverage at the other end. I'm thinking of buying another disc.

My question is, will the system support another disc (ie 5 discs)?

Thanks,  Phil

Don't see why not. Have you tried spacing your existing 4 discs out a bit further to see if that solves the problem though?

Thanks, Yes I've tried... but seem to have hit the limit of their reach.

In that case it might be time to run some ethernet cables and install some wireless access points via the wired ethernet.

To be honest if you have full fibre 900 like I do then running on WiFi alone is pointless as you will not be able to utilise both the coverage and the speed.

Yes, thank you @Checked2013 - I think that's the way to go & I hadn't even considered the speed issue... time to watch some youtube videos, I guess.
