Re: Full fibre switch

"It is not Openreach that have failed, it is BT in not sending a Smart Hub2."
That's certainly true in this case, but I was making the general point about BT switching off a VDSL or ADSL service before Openreach had confirmed with them that the FTTP service was up and running. This could be due to BT not bothering to check with Openreach, or Openreach declaring the job finished when it isn't. Either way, it's down to poor communication between BT and Openreach, as I said.

Re: Full fibre switch

What BT hub were you using before the switch over. Unless I am mistaken the "newer" Homehub 5 has a WAN port  (red colour) for FTTP and as has been pointed out the Smarthub has Port 4 as a WAN port if you switch it on in the hubs settings if it has not already been turned on.

Re: Full fibre switch

Yes, I can confirm that.  (I've still got a couple of Home Hub 5's.  The amount of junk I've got.  I really must have clear out).  Both the type A and type B have WAN ports.
